Program:
Heather introduced our speaker Jane Dominigue, the Executive Director of the Thea Bowman House. Heather serves on the Thea Bowman House board and had many kind words to say about Jane.

The Thea Bowman House began in 1986 with 10 kids in an after-school program, funded by a $10,000 grant. People and families started reaching out for help so in 1988 a food pantry was opened, serving more than 250 families per month. Parents had a need for full time day care so in 1990 the Thea Bowman House opened a childcare center.

Wednesday February 12th at 4 pm the mayor will officially declare it Thea Bowman Day in Utica to honor sister Thea.
