  • Utica OD: Stephen Turnbull presented a donation from the Catalyst Group to Operation Sunshine; Israel  Acosta is the skip for his curling team competing in the Utica Curling Club Mitchell Bonspiel; Dana Jerrard was featured on the cover of Scene as a member of the band Classified; Rick Synek (Feed Our Vets) highlighted the increase in the number of vets served over the past year
  • Dr. Breslow wishes everyone a happy and healthy new year!

  • Amy White presented P Joe Caruso with an ornament from ARC to commemorate 50 years of service to the Special Needs Holiday Party
  • New chair needed for the Special Needs Holiday Party as Amy is stepping down after seven years
What Have You Done to Make Rotary Proud:
  • 16 Rotarians “rang the bell” for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign on Dec. 21
  • P Joe and several other RCU members were at the Utica new year’s eve party, which featured fireworks and  Classified (Dana Jerrard) in their last public performance; P Joe said it was a great event
  • Members of the RCU leadership team (P Joe, Stephen Turnbull, Israel Acosta, Tina Pavlot, Travis Rabbers) met to discuss various topics including the upcoming Gala
Program:
Stephen Turnbull introduced John Bartholomeo, owner and head coach of Mohawk Valley Wellness. (Note: as a former Marine, Mr. Bartholomeo expressed his appreciation that our club sings “God Bless America” and says The Pledge of Allegiance.) Mr. Bartholomeo discussed the S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timely) Goals worksheet he handed out. The worksheet is designed to help a person identify goals that are achievable.
