  • Karen Six is relocating and won’t be able to continue with Rotary. She will be deeply missed!
  • District Conference is Saturday, Oct 19th at the Ontario Conference Center is Oswego
  • Pin Down Polio is Wednesday, Oct 23rd 6 pm at Vista Lanes on Oriskany Blvd. Currently have 13 teams, consider creating one!
  • Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup is Saturday, Oct 26th from 8 – 11 am. More volunteers are needed, see Stephen Turnbull
  • The Veteran’s Dinner is Saturday, Nov 9th 6 – 9 pm at Cornerstone Community Church on Plant Street in Utica. Please see Mary Ann Hallak-Serwatka if you can help out
  • New Member Mixer is Thursday, Nov 21st 5:30 – 7:30 at the Delta Hotel

Program: Pride of Workmanship Awards
Roxanne explained the Awards program, introduced the committee members and Jerry Kraus as the program’s MC. Jerry reminded us of the award criteria.
 
Fountainhead Group: Hien Chau nominated by Dawn Gubbins
Dawn described Hien as always being available to step up when needed and doing so with enthusiasm.
 
RCIL: Wendy Gagliardo nominated by Holly Saupp
Holly described Wendy as exceeding expectations. Wendy thanked her parents who were in attendance and spoke of her love for the company.
 
Observer Dispatch: Barbara Laible nominated by Pam Sperbeck
Pam described Barb as the unsung hero. Barb spoke of her gratefulness to the club and employer.
 
MVCC: Tom Monaghan nominated by Tom Squires
Tom Squires described Tom Monaghan as a star, noting his consistency and professionalism. Tom thanked his children and many members of MVCC and team.
 
Adirondack Financial Services: Becky Ruben-Navarro nominated by Marlene Anderson
Becky could not make it to the ceremony, but Marlene described herself as lucky to have Becky, who is a self-starter, active in her community and a key resource to all.
